Prof. Jing Du

Director of Medical Research Center, Binzhou Medical University Hospital, China

Prof. Jing Du, Young Expert of Mount Taishan scholar, Expert of National Natural Science Foundation, evaluation expert of graduate education of the Ministry of Education, and reviewer of several SCI journals such as Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters and Cell Death Discovery. Graduated with a master’s degree from Peking Union Medical College, Tsinghua University. She got her Ph.D degree in Free University of Berlin and performed cancer research in Prof. Clemens A. Schmitt’s lab in Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

She focuses on the molecular mechanisms of tumor occurrence and development and explores new treatment options derived from them. Her group revealed the important role of key components in Hedgehog signaling pathway in stemness characteristics such as drug resistance, metastasis, and immune escape in tumor cells. She explores the impact of mental stress on tumor progression, and reveals the interaction between immune microenvironment and tumor cells under stressed condition at cellular and molecular levels through high-throughput sequencing systems. Based on relevant molecular targets, her lab explores new anti-tumor drugs that have synergistic and attenuated side effects on existing treatment regimens. Her work was published in journals such as Blood, Oncogene, Cancer Research, etc.
